(1 vote)

DELPHI is an ancient city located in central GREECE on the slopes of MOUNT PARNASSUS.
It holds great historical and cultural significance, as it was once considered the center of the world in ancient Greek mythology.
The city is famous for its ORACLE, a sacred site where the ORACLE of DELPHI would deliver prophecies and advice to visitors.
The archaeological site of DELPHI is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It includes various structures and monuments, such as the TEMPLE of APOLLO, the ANCIENT THEATER, the THOLOS of DELPHI, and the STADIUM.
The TEMPLE of APOLLO was the main religious building in DELPHI. It housed the ORACLE, and its ruins can still be seen today.
In ancient times, DELPHI hosted the DELPHIC GAMES, a major festival held every four years to celebrate the GREEK GOD APOLLO. These games included various athletic and artistic competitions, attracting participants from all over GREECE.
Today, DELPHI is a popular tourist destination, offering visitors a chance to explore an image of the civilization and myths of ancient GREECE.
