(1 vote)

Munich (München) is the capital and largest city of the German state of Bavaria, on the banks of River Isar north of the Bavarian Alps. Munich is the third largest city in Germany, after Berlin and Hamburg, and the 12th biggest city of the European Union, with a population of above 1.5 million.
The Odeonsplatz is a large square in central Munich which was developed in the early 19th century by Leo von Klenze. Max-Joseph-Platz is a large square in central Munich which was named after King Maximilian Joseph. The square was constructed with the erection of the National Theatre Munich at its east side, which was opened in 1818
The first building commissioned by King Max.I (1811-1818) burnt down five years after its completion. The rebuilding was destroyed in 1943 during an allied air raid. In 1963 a reconstuction of the first building could be opened. The National theater has five tiers with seating for more than 2000 people.
